Papenburg!

Papenburg is my home. I was born here, grew up in Dörpen, and now live with my family in Obenende. I bump into you at the weekly market on Fridays, at the bakery, or on my doorstep. And there are two things I hear time and time again: pride in this town, and the hope that things will start moving forward again.

That is exactly what I am standing for. I do not want to run Papenburg, but rather design. Together with you. I have over 25 years’ professional experience, eight of which were spent as this city’s business development officer. I know the local government from the inside and understand where it needs to become faster, clearer and more bold.

I step independent . My party is Papenburg. The major political parties and the business community place their trust in me, and I remain open to anyone who wants to get involved. I don’t promise miracles, but I do promise commitment. Better two promises that are kept than ten that come to nothing.

This term of office lasts for eight years, until 2034. Papenburg can’t stand still for that long. Let’s get started.
